Yes.

BUT, this should be an option.

I can imagine njaguar's PM box to be full every few hours (or even faster^^), same with popular moderators/mediators/...

Yes read first post and you can see that you would have an option to turn it off/on.

It is a good idea, however if someone repeteadly adds you and you keep getting PMs, thats annoying. So there should be an option to turn it off, or stop someone from adding you.

Ofc not, but you maybe not always notice it?

What if we didnt get some kind of alarm when we got pm?

You dont check the pm box so often either.
