Yes, guild chat was a convenient way to communicate with members, especially those in different time zones. I haven't looked into the notebox, but at 500 fg, I'm not likely to either.

And last I looked AIM, etc were free, there is really little benefit to having a jsp exclusive one.

I think we should get a new section for a Guild Chat thread then, there can be a recruiting thread but have a GC just like it. Since the change of the GC I very dislike chatting in the notebox. The IM is cool, but you can temporarly add people already, and its great for another form of GC but I like being able to look back at what everyone posted, everything in my guild that has been happening. Chatting in the notebox after the 25 post or so my guild leaders refresh it and delete all the post, as well its a lot small viewing/posting setup with no editing/quoting allowed either. Imo chaning the chat was a down grade, and we should have a seperate thread for GC matching the recruiting chat style, instead of chatting in notebox. Cause not everyone wishes to use IM either.

wouldnt you think it be fair if they gave existing guilds free, considering they already spent 2500 on the guild, and 1k on the guild chat, why the hell close the chat? force the issue of having to pay for another service that wi9ll someday be upgraded to something else that will have to be paid for?
sounds like a good way to shaft guilds; change the guild communication format every year or so and make guilds repay for something they already paid for?
sounds like guilds need to get ventrillo and skype and stop feeding the machine, (think jsp is taking pointers form our government?)

if i paid for a service and it was terminated i would demand some kind of credit
