I respectfully disagree. If PARD is losing traffic, it's partly because people have been upset about flaming. Breaking it up may decrease forum activity but it may increase quality. In either case there's a pretty big desire for a separated forum. The religious community on d2jsp has been victimized by people who wish to take advantage of the forum space and even insult people who just want a nice place for discussion. The word of the day gets some discussion, but it's mainly a measure to help create some space within the current PARD forum for religious discussion; otherwise it gets marginalized. Marcus works very hard. He is dedicated on a daily basis to helping forge a valuable safe spot for discussion. Even with his diligence, he's been the subject of ridicule and intolerance. Your point that people don't discuss scripture or related matters in his topics points out a reason why his suggestion is very strong. There are plenty of people who want this suggestion to work out. Just read the entirety of this topic. Imagine how many other people don't know about this suggestion.

I hope you might reconsider the benefits of this suggestion

The inappropriate spam that is disgusting and offensive, the hateful members and the intolerance is beyond ridiculous. You think there's only 3 or so Christians on jsp? You're very wrong if you do, there are many many more. They don't come in there because they know they won't have a moments peace if they post anything that resembles loving God. Ohh sure you can go in there and post how much you hate God all day long and be applauded for it because it spews discontent and malice. That's not religion that's lack of it, in my opinion. That's not something that's going to change anytime soon, if ever.

If you're actually secure in your religious beliefs, you wouldn't give a shit either way if people come in to flame them.

Though many of them are atheist, it's mostly spam that's pissing them off, and they're willing to flame you and your beliefs for a reaction.

And if you're interested in a solid suggestion that would give plenty of room for praising Jesus and wouldn't antagonize the regulars as much, here's a link
