I realize that. It simply reflects on just how useful the 'report' function is. Modertors cannot respond to every report.

You can abuse the forum rules consistently without consequence most of the time. Why bother following the bump rule when you can have that first page exposure?
Close a thread and they will reopen it.

You want people to do something; you either reward them or punish them. That simple.

The number of moderators is too few.

This is why I have suggested this: Prevents them from spamming (as much).
People create multiple threads as is, even if their thread ISN'T closed.

I've never seen somebody "update" anything in a trade thread -- especially massive ones.
They'll bump the thread saying it was sold or whatever, but other than that... They usually just repost (spam *).

Well that is how I handle my trade lists - but you're right there are people that take advantage on the forum - but why ruin it for the honest users?

When I actually played D2 I never followed the rules & neither did 99.99% of everyone else trading in the forum.. I spammed shit so it was always on the first page & sold all my items really quickly.

You're right,
there is no reason to follow the rules if there are no negative repurcusions.

I personally feel bad for the trusted tagged users that have to follow the rules to keep their tag (when every single other user is breaking them).
Having a TT is a death sentence for trading on Jsp.

Your topic will be off the top 50 within a couple seconds. GL trading.

That may explain your 20% warn, who knows. :)

There isn't anything that would "ruin" it, for honest users.

It’s not about not having enough moderators. It’s about the lack of action.

Closing a thread is futile. Everybody knows this; you cannot deny or make an argument about it.
Personally if there was actually any concern involved in the forum rules, action would have been taken already.

I offer this as my opinion though. I do not exactly what the parameters are involved in the category of moderator.

The problem: Lack of action.
The reason: Lack of moderators (you cannot have one man do every job in a small country -- even Haiti).
The solution: More moderators, and more action.

'Course this is only your opinion!

First one seems kind of harsh, but whatever.
Second one seems retarded. Who gives a fuck if you discuss what "Trusted Trader" says?

Really easy to criticize people,

Though if warns were more frequent and something you could come to expect, chances are it would reduce the amount of early bump violations.
You don't need more moderators or even to warn every infraction. Just knowing what the standards are would reduce the problem. :)
As an increase in warn log leads to diminished functions of the forum.
