You got my vote, I would love to see this added.

Maybe I will post blogs if this option is available but until now there's no chance that I start to blog about anything --> I dont want to hide all my blogs, I want to choose which one is available and which one should stay hidden.

I agree with your point and had assumed many others would feel this way, blogs are a great feature, that are so rarely seriously used, and i have suggested things to make it a more useful feature, ^_^.
