I agree, it's a form of gambling so either remove the lottery or restore all the other gambling features.

For my last post, I'll try and make this easy on you. If I wanted to say that you're stupid, I'd say "Hey, you fucking moron, shut the fuck up. You're a stupid jackass." Clearly I'm not the one assuming anything, Crash.

Here's where we agree:
The Lottery and ANY FORM OF GAMBLING are one in the same. Yes, you read correctly. We agree on that. I can completely understand how you feel and where you're coming from. HOWEVER, that doesn't change the fact that this topic has been brought up since I started using this site, and I'm sure this won't be the last time... And guess what. The lotto is still going strong.

Here's where we disagree:
Sports betting(As well as ANY form of non-regulated gambling on here) is not only user vs. user, but the last time I checked.. Oh yeah, it's not mediated. The fact remains that if you put in 5fg towards the lotto, you have have no chance of getting scammed, welched, or... you guessed it. Locked. The simple fact is that because it's a SYSTEM and not an unreliable USER, I see no reason why it should be removed. My comments made out of irritation earlier were made ONLY because I had the feeling that you would understand what I was getting at without saying it. I mean give me a fucking break. This isn't calculus. This is a simple conversation of WHY one is allowed and one is not.

If you take anything from this conversation, my friend, make it that none of my comments were meant to be flames. However, if you're as "stupid" as you think I assume you are, then just disregard this comment completely.

Yes.. they can support gambling in one form - the official lottery system that is set up. All other forms are not supported.

But see, here's the problem I'm having with people in this thread: Anything involving betting is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. I'm talking about the lottery and gambling. Sports betting and the issue with the bettors lists can be handled by somebody else. I'm not here for that. If you agree that the lottery and any form of gambling are the same, then I don't see why you disagree that the lottery should be removed, since JSP apparently does not support gambling.

Because if you don't support something, then you don't support it. That's black and white. Saying that the lottery is supported but other gambling isn't is like saying that the US Government should support waterboarding but no other form of torture.

It's not like they're saying they don't support betting because of the scamming issue. Besides, betting communities are much smaller than the trade forums, so adding mediators there would greatly help stop welching.

The above quote says it all. I see no reason to take something away that is not only safe, but alot of fun when you have a few dozen, or even a few thousand fg to blow. Who wouldn't want to put in 5fg and walk away with 50,000fg? My logic, as well as my personal reasoning, is one in the same. It's safe, so why take it away?
