Offcourse, all beta chars/accounts get wiped. And since its MMORPG you have to pay yes.
But if you pre-order you get alot of bonus items (like a mount) and 3 days early acces (or if your on EU 6 days of early acces).

I dont really care about it but if you think its necessary then ok.

Since you love hellgate (played it aswell) age of conan should be interesting for you aswell, cause its ALOT faster then the common mmo and no auto attack is available
