I voted no, it could be useful but i have a feeling that 90% of them wouldnt take the time to read it. When i was new the first thing i wanted to do was trade not read a pm.
Could be useful like i said but idk i just dont think it would really help much if they dont take the time to read it.
Here is my main answer to this.
Will many people ignore it? I am sure they will.
Many people ignore the manuals for a new vacuum, or how to put together the new shed.
However - the manual is still there.
Why?
Because there IS a portion out there who WILL read it right away.
Additionally - its there to inform you for when you need help.
The effort to make it would be minimal – It’s like the immediate email you get from Gmail when you create your first account there. Sure it takes some time to gather the materials to make it. But once you set up a trigger within the site to auto send it to new users. The work is done. It will help some people. If you 500 people were in trouble, and you could only save 10, would you simply not try? Because many people wouldn’t be saved. I do not think so.
The same can be applied here. Even if people will get scammed, the likelihood of each new comer being scammed should decrease with heightened awareness.
