They used to post in the topic, but Njaguar changed it to list a private reason, so that only the poster can see why his thread was closed.

There is no logical Explanation behind your reason for thinking this. Having the moderators name displayed isnt within the current system and i wouldnt suggest it to be added.
This will simply change the current Private information [no need for it to be private] to public information.
