I'm pretty sure I've seen this suggested before. Yes for now, but I would like to see an argument that points out a serious flaw.

i'm with Linux, i think it's a good idea but i'm sure there are some flaws or arguments which i would like to hear smile.gif

When the thread creator posts/bumps, the Next Bump time is shown. It should be easy to determine if the last post was by the thread creator.
Rather then allowing to post before the bump time has expired the user should be send to a screen similar to flood control, stating that an illegal bump is attempted. (Perhaps even have a short time delay)
This should reduce the number of early bumps (hopefully) significantly and improve trading for those who follow the rules.

Please post arguments if do not agree.

Simple No.
Because,
If you think about it, if you post something, two hours later, you remember something else to post on it too, and you don't want to forget, and you can't edit your post, you would either have to repost, or wait a few hours to do it.
Example :
Selling Hoz! 187 ed

then no one posts, and in an hour and 30 mins, you remember, oh shit! i didn't put that it was up'd! or something like that, but no!

what you are describing is clearly against the rules - i would recommend to keep a notepad handy

ok, i went with no, after reading 10 of the 20 pages, but didnt see my reason there,so
reason is:
Instances such as recent ladder reset have created copious trade threads. Several instances have occured where the moment I post my items(s) for trade, there are so many posts at the same time (admittedly some of these are likely early bumps biggrin.gif), that noone has a chance to even see my post - it is simply gone before I get back to the main trading screen.
Now, obviously, I have no life, but I certainly dont want to wait around for 4 hours so I can bump my thread, only to be swamped again. I consider myself to be an honset rule follower, but I will admit to early bumps in this instance, simply to get my item seen.

Ok, after thinking on this more, I think one solution may be to simply add a few more filters, say set items and uniques. Also, if people didnt have to pay for a detailed search, there would not be as many posts to clog the boards.
But I still say no. Warns should be sufficient, and if the above were implemented, I think it would help the problem.

thank you for a detailed comment and while i agree tat mode filters might help, it will take some time to get the right set of filters if one can really cover with filters all the various cases (or it might need the restructuring of posts), so i still tink might suggestion would help

this sounds good in some ways but useless in other ways..

i will vote yes. but maybe to make it seem better and better understood to maybe take some screenies and add to it to show us how it would work ect.
