Most guilds maybe have a post limit of 250 nowadays, whereas the former guild chats would hit 30k posts EASILY...
This keeps extraneous data from clogging up the JSP server and slowing things down.
Things are fine the way they are, if you want a bigger post size then just upgrade it but I personally don't see the need.
Hate to say it but I agree with this
however much I would like for this to be implemented it is the exact opposite of what njaguar had in mind to "fix" when he eliminated guild chats. Some guilds spam a lot and they create pages and pages of text which isn't many kb by themselves but when added to everyone else's spamming it really adds up
