You shouldnt be making flame threads to begin with.

Yes but we cannot control everyone posts.

But we can control ourselves. Even if someone does make a spam post you should not be responding to it. This feature will help keep spam down to a minimum. This idea isnt much different from automatically closing threads after 60+ replies in the trading section. It will lighten moderator duties.

It will help reduce spam one thread at a time.

As someone pointed out, people will start making flamethreads and block the person they are flaming.

It will be abused, you like it or not.
It doesn't work like your favourite fairytale.

no

if someone spams , report them , if they continue, contact a member of the staff that moderates that section . As always, do not respond to spam
How would it feel for me to create a topic in the s/a and have the accused blocked? (just one example )

Report buttons work less than half the time. I've sat in flame threads and reported EVERY post just to prove my point to staff(s) who will remain anonymous. But on the other side I can see this being abused as well. So my vote is nulled.

This is waaay to complicated.
And if this suggestion will be added it would have more negative side effects than postive ones.

Much of the negative side effects have already been mentioned in this thread.

Clearly a NO

What is so complicated?

Every d2jsp user should have the right to be able to keep users from spamming their pm box and threads. The only forum that would not have this feature is the Scammer Accusation forum for obvious reasons.

Someone mentioned that this feature would not allow users to respond to a flame thread. According to the rules, a flame thread is not allowed and responding to one is not allowed. Stop me if im wrong here.

Maybe I should repost and clarify that the only arguements against this suggestion are people complaining about not being able to break the rules if it is implicated... Which is my whole idea here.

Most of the time the mod will just close your topic. There goes 10fg. A moderator can give out warns and suspensions but most spammers do not care anything about that.
