alot of them are also extremely restictive and dont provide the functionality desired
the main factor that seems to have been overlooked is very few guilds operate entirely within themselves , some even have more traffic in theyr threads from ousiders than they do guildys
all of these changes are only suitable providing
a. your in the same guild with the ones u want contact with
b. your in the same timezone (relatively speaking) as your guildys
as far as the blacklisting/controlling spam
its just silly to suggest closing the entire chat off from the public as an effective way to stop some ppl abusing it
Unsure why a lot of them restrictive, all of them *should have the same functionality.

If its a public guild chat & the situation is as you describe above... its really still the same as before.
All friends are still welcome "if you choose a public option". If your guild chat has massive posts & the "pin" feature is not enough for those posts we do not desire to be burried...
Guild owners, & those with privileges have the ability to buy as large of a post storage as desired.
Say you have a 50 post storage. Even if we are in different timezones. If something is really relevant to be discussed, say 8 hours later due to time zone issues...
Even if its weeks or months later & still needs to be discussed, the "PIN" feature should really be sufficient.
If its really a unique circumstance then we can increase post storage even more, 75 posts, 100 posts, & so on.
The being "silly" part of "closing the entire chat", its an feature many wanted for a very long time.
Its not a permanent change/option. We can return it to public with the click of a drop down tab at our convenience.
Its an highly effective tool to the guild administrator(s) arsenal.
