1 - I wasn't saying he was 16, but sure does act like it
2 - Nope, I don't understand. But I can see the overall effects
3. M'kay
4. Exactly, and SOMEBODY made the idea there's X number of max moderators out there (guess who?)

1. paparick is my favorite moderator. (he's fair & doesn't hesistate to hand out warns for bullshit)
2. Yeah, well if you just let all your friends in on the party.. you'll tend to collect a group of people that think / act the same way.... too bad whoever invited all the new guys was completely passive aggressive & obsessed with tranquility and sunshine
3. at least you agree with me on that
4. Moderator positions are granted to those that show qualities of being a moderator... Paul never set a cap on how many there can be.... it just depends on the actions of the non-moderator trusted users acting appropriately / desiring to have more administrative power.

Is there an age specific manual somewhere to dictate appropriate behavior?
The forums are flooded with activity, not too much can be done about that. Although I think the moderators are too lenient in terms of warns.
Anyway I think this would be impractical and would not bring too much in terms of results.

I will go out on a limb here; I could sit in USEAST ladder trade forum and report all day if I wanted.

One huge problem with this, say a trade thread was opened with multiple items, people bidding on such items would make it so the thread starter would have to update current offers to make it less confusing for the people bidding.

I've never seen somebody "update" anything in a trade thread -- especially massive ones.
They'll bump the thread saying it was sold or whatever, but other than that... They usually just repost (spam *).

What's the point in closing them (if it's an early bump) when you can simply prevent them from early bumping altogether?
There's obviously been thought put into this before; Think about the 30 second anti-flood posting.

I realize that. It simply reflects on just how useful the 'report' function is. Modertors cannot respond to every report. If they do it's long since expired.

You can abuse the forum rules consistently without consequence most of the time. Why bother following the bump rule when you can have that first page exposure?
Close a thread and they will reopen it.

You want people to do something; you either reward them or punish them. That simple.
