they find out when they come back usually, and if not they are suppose to PM njaguar
nope, sorry :(

ive been auto suspended 3 times for word filter, and 2 of the 3 times was posting a non offensive image tag from google images....

I have thought about posting this site suggestion personally, but NevV beat me to it ;)

This would be a great addition to the site,... i still have NO idea why my 3 suspensions took place.
YES YES YES, it would be nice to at least get an auto PM from the system saying you were suspended for the word filter for use of this word

This would be a great addition to the site,... i still have NO idea why my 3 suspensions took place, 1 was for a users account name that has since been banned (found out after the fact) and the other 2 were long c a t paraody's (not the actual one, and one that is a normal size pic that doesnt distrub anything)

You are a picture-perfect example of what I'm trying to tell people ^_^ thanks so much for posting.

People who I have approached about this have always told me that everyone knows why they were suspended but that isn't always true!

In fact, just yesterday there was a guy who made a new account to ask why he was suspended - check it out:

I'll try to gather these threads as they pile up :)

Thanks again for posting.

If he wanted an running list of everything that the filter catches then he would post one somewhere. It has been stated that there is not now, and probably never will be a list of this type. If he put up a list, or even added, "Temp Suspension - Word ___" then he'd get 100 x more asking "Why couldn't I say xxx users name, or xxx website??".
Believe me, he does it this way to save himself a ton of hassle in the long run.
I'm sure it doesn't make him any nevermind if the General Help "workers", as you put it, have to repeat themselves two extra times a day. Because 90% of them already repeat the same bull over and over again just for post recognition anyhow.
(Nevv, you're there just as much as I am I'm sure, if not more. You know exactly what I'm talking about, and who I'm referring to, so I won't name anybody specifically) But, you get the idea.

Voting no.

Did you even read the suggestion?

This isn't a vote for a word filter list - but a suspension log, giving a reason why you were suspended and whatnot. (Word filters, etc) Don't even have to list the word you typed that suspended you.

I understand where you're coming from but I feel that if they know exactly what it was for then they will know not to do it again. Thanks for your vote though.

As all the Mods say, 95% of users know why they got suspended.
If users just read the rules and followed them, they would not be suspended in the first place.

But - I suppose a reason to why they got suspended would be good and very useful.
I'll give it a yes.

yes.
