This has already been suggested multiple times.
No need for this as far as guides go, because they are all stickied.
As for the S/A Forum, try "ctrl + f"
It works every time.

I'd like to see this happen, don't think it will though.

Not every guide is stickied...many people choose to post their guide in the forums first to get feedback before submitting.

Some topics aren't stickied and people ask about them. It would be nice to search before posting a new topic.

Ctrl + f will only search the front page...not very useful if a s/a got bumped down to page seven after 24 hours.
