i'm not talking about them defending themself with vouches.  I'm talking about the person who is being accused posting in their own defense.  They are allowed to do so and your new "no spam" method would stop them from doing that.

/edit.  I have a feeling it would also lead to an increase of separate posts made by people who are accused trying to defend themselves.

Possible ways around this:

You could post if you are tt+/helper/creator/or your profile link was posted in the topic. Seems easy enough to code something along those lines. Tbh: People don't even defend themselves that often anyway. Spam there confuses people who are making the accusations and this would help so much.

When the person is accused they are granted access to posting beucase of well, look at the guys photo on top of me, thats how they will be granted access to it.

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to code something like that? Honestly, it's really not worth all that work just to stop people from being able to post in threads. What happens if a user unrelated to the topic has more proof? They'd need to make a new topic for the same user.

They can easily pm the person who posted with proof.

Id assume you can give posting rights to a certain group easily (this could the case of trusted and the helpers) and then what I made the screenshot of, which is remove description and make it userid, where the name has to match the id (to avoid false framing and allow defense). Also you cannot make a new topic without posting this user id required.

The problem isn't in allowing certain groups access. The problem is in allowing certain users based on a thread. I've never seen a system like that before, so while it's a nice idea in theory, just how practical is it? I know it's an awful lot of work for whatever coder takes up the task. And that still doesn't solve the problem of multiple people being scammed by the same user...

And what about, if the poster didn't mention the other user in the Topic title / Description? :|

Hard to implement, will not happen, imo.

But ofc would be nice, just like hundreds of other ideas. ^^

well, if he is forced to mention the user in topic title / decription? or maybe add a field to insert the user id?
i know, it would be hard to implement, but it really would stop the spam in the scammer accusations.

I have to vote no.

Sometimes its necessary for someone other then a Med etc etc to post in the topic.

The idea is good, but in the end it would be too difficult and also like i said, SOMETIMES it is helpful to have OTHERS post there.
