I could understand if there is no history on the account. You could probably trick people into thinking your the same person though and scamming them. Ruining a friendship that wasn't yours to ruin in the first place. I think it would create more problems for Paul.
thats one of the concerns i was thinking of aswell, but people who have accounts that would be recogniseable and trustworthy like that ussually have donated, which takes them out of contention for the inactive list.
and the maybe a pm could be sent to all users on the old members friends list saying that the account name has been sold, and to take note that the user with said name isnt the same member and shouldnt be treated as such.
and also by the site having a list of names which have been purchased and transferred, to save such confusion. and the price tag for the name change would discourage most scammers, compared to simply creating a new multi.
its sad that it happens, but atleast paul could control this aspect.

I dont think ill aggree with it.. cause who knows when the person will come active again and finds out he doenst have a name anymore
its not that they "wont have a name" they can simply choose a new un used name.
like arrial said, most people would understand if their account was closed due to inactivity for a very long period, when all they will lose is their account name is a pretty fair compromise considering the small amount of users who do return. and it would be such a big addition to the user-friendly status of the site. its about keeping active member happy and using the site, donating and keeping the site up and running.
not about making some people unhappy that they cant have a name change when they are an active member of the site because someone that doesnt use it anymore has their desired acc name, which they are acctually willing to pay for.
if you dont understand this, click "dont get it" or "unsure" please.
