You are allowed to use _ in names, as long as it isn't in the beginning or end. so i_i would be okay but _ii wouldn't.

Nope I was told from Njaguar that the only way people have !@#$%^&*()_+ and such in there names is because when you could change you name back in '06 it was legal, now its illegal characters.

No it isn't, you are allowed to have _ in your names now as long as it is not in the beginning or end of the name.
Go look around in the trading forums, there are plenty of 07 and 08 members with it.

Remeber Gary Had the name ___ Well someone wanted it and he said _'s can't be used in names anymore.

but this also means that scammers and such have an easy way out.

Because there is a _ in the beginning and end of the name, they can only be in between two words.
I verified this just the other day, don't bother with that, just pay attention to the suggestion



no it doesnt, why would a scammer pay to change his name after he scammed ???
Also, it still links to his name in the thread, i have changed my name before, i would know

When people scam 10k+ fg. 1.5k is nothing.

You post a s/a thread "such and such scammed me" but you didn't link to his profile. Because he spent 1.5k of his scammed fg to change his name and go under the radar. The scammer continues to scam fg while changing his names to stay ahead of the game before people have a chance to react. If anything, this will give the mods even more work because now they have to go through and check what the original name was and what it was changed to(if that's even possible), and when a scammer has enough fg scattered across multi's, that's alot of information to traverse.

And compared to some things around here, I don't think name changes falls under the tedious category.
