Voted no as there is not a way for the med to post the disposition of the trade as to whether complete, modified, cancelled, or scam attempt. Also feature could be abused for price controll by third person posting spam or porn, locking thread and thus preventing further bidding. Problem can be averted by having bidder create a new thread and having original poster post in it.

I don't understand why the mediators should post that.
btw, you bring a really good point up which I hadn't thought about.

one other reason is meds often hold fg for days or weeks and that info needs to be put in thread.

that's hardly ever the case, and even when a topic is not locked and this is required, the topic can get closed anyways in the meantime

in both cases mods can re-open the topic or resolve in other manners
