and should be INFORCED with Strict rules. therefor if anyone abuses the power to close there own post slap there ass with a 10% warn and presto they cant close there own posts anymore.

Using the report post button still calls a mediator correct?
So why would this be any different than pm'ing one to close your topic.
It seems like it would be making easier on yourself as compared to the mediators who still need to go and close the topic.

Plus, this could create alot more work for mediators/trusted because people could just non-stop create posts and request them to be closed.

when you use the report button a moderator comes and closes the topic (or handles the topic)

imo you have totally missed the point

im saying, INSTEAD of pming a moderator to come and close your own topic you just have the option to report your own
topic, then the topic will get sent to the moderator que and they will handle it when they can

this then saves the moderators time in reading pms when they can just check the moderator que
for topics that need dealing with


My Point:

this will save the user who reports himself time in pming a moderator
&
this will also save the moderator time in reading endless pms about closing his/hers own topic, when they can just check the mod que
