they stopped once paul added in a feature that allowed a space for them to leave a reason 
but its private so only creator of thread can see it

It's a good idea and would help some of the new members out, but at the same time it might be confusing in the cases where more than one rule is broken/someone reports it for wrong reason, so it might make more work for them. If they can get it to work fine than I'm all for it.
You can leave more than 1 reason for closing a thread, if i remember right
