I don't see a point to this.
If you're afraid of being spoiled on a specific ending of a book, or of a TV show. Avoid all threads regarding it.

However there are certain threads, such as the recently watched anime, or anime recommendations threads, that are quite useful, but hazardous to navigate if you don't want to be spoiled (you have no idea what specific shows people will be talking about in those threads)

I vote no cause if the person is nice enough to post a spoiler as a hidden tag type thing your describing, Why wouldn't they just put it in a horribly hard to read color such like yellow and a big red warning spoiler alert above it like people usually do now

Spoilers will still happen cause people who spoil things usually don't mean to and won't use this feature anyways.

Basically the tags are a more elegant solution (looks nicer and requires less clicking/typing)

If all you have to do is press a button, I'm sure more people will use them.
