1. Kids can outsmart their parents in terms of computers easily.  even a 5th grader could bypass parental restrictions without trying.

2. i didn't say kids don't have a conscious, but kids usually rule their curiosity above all else, and will do anything if they can have fun doing it

3. every kid experiments.  like when your mom says "don't touch that", but you touch it anyways, just to see what happens

4. just cause there are other ways of getting influenced doesn't make this any less worse.  is it any worse to kill someone with a knife than with a gun?~

1. So thats our problem that the parents are incompentent on teaching there child right from wrong?

2. Having the ability to tell right from wrong, as you say "Calculate Risks", is pretty the same thing as having a conscious.

3. That's just more parenting issues, and yes every person has that curiosity to want to do something and see what happens. That's the whole, Touch a hot stove and you're going to get burned.

4. Comparing smoking pot or drinking under the age to killing someone is a very wide spectrum. If I told someone, "Take this gun and kill someone with it" and they didn't think that would be wrong then obviously there's more issues to that person then just worrying about if they smoke or drink.

knowing right from wrong takes time and experience to be able to apply to all situations in life. it's not the parents fault for anything

when i said calculating risks i was referring to knowing how drugs have the potential to damage your body, your mind, and your life, and deciding weather or not those risks are ok to take. kids usually value fun and follow their curiosity first. and sometimes kids might not be educated about them at all, so they won't even try calculating anything

it's not a parenting issue because every kid was like that at one point or another

you're using everything i'm saying in a different context. i was just saying that although you can kill someone several ways, each way is just as bad. as is getting influenced to take drugs. there are several ways to get influenced, like directly from a friend, or just by reading about it. it's not how you did it that really matters, just the fact that you did it~

America's laws do not govern the internet. "Illegal" drugs are not illegal everywhere. I fail to see how allowing discussion of something promotes use of it. When politicians talk about the war in Iraq or abortion, does that mean that they encourage it? No.

Edit: And why is the third option even there? A Trusted Tag does not give you rights to discuss forbidden topics.

Well first, Yes it would be the parents fault because they can't control there child. Although yes we learn right from wrong from learning from our mistakes, the job of a parent is to teach their child about their own mistakes so the child does not have to live threw them. IE, a parent that grew up in the 60s that was around drug abuse, sexual promiscuity, and irrational violence should teach there child that nothing is won threw all those things and that they should stray away from them because they can damage there overall well being.

And its not the job of the people that go to this site to be role models for children. If we want to tell stories about how we got really drunk and smoked a fat blunt let it be. People don't go to this site to think, "Hmm, I bet theres little kids that go to this site that look up to me as a law abiding citizen and regal forum member." They go to this site to talk to friends and have fun. You slap people on the wrist for talking about it here, they will just go somewhere else and talk about it. Its like the whole Youtube bullshit where they started censoring people, the people just posted there vids somewhere else. You're not going to stop it, your just going to stall the inevitable.

And also, if a kid can go to a website that is involved in playing they game that said website is affiliated with. Bid, trade, buy, and sell items/currency affiliated with that game that they play by posting on said website. I'm pretty sure they can understand what drugs can do to you. Don't underestimate the youth, they are smarter then you think and they will be our future.

Yes I am 27 and able to see what it does and how it affects the younger audience here.

The 15-18 year olds (and sometimes older)

That don't have a damn clue about life or what they are doing and will buy into any information someone throws at them just so they can feel like they fit in.

hey dude

uhh

qq

we make our own life decisions, im sure sitting at a computer chair staring into a screen for 12+ hours a day trolling forums is worse for your body than casually smoking marijuana. you being a drug zealot on a video game forum isnt going to stop people from making or not making that decision. Nobody is taking the drugs and putting it in other peoples bodies. FYI D2JSP isn't solely in the USA there are other nationalities that use this wonderful website that may not have these drugs listed as illegal.

it's not your job to be a role model for children, but it's a moral responsibility to guide them the right way. and i don't care where drugs are being talked about comfortably, as long as kids aren't there to get influenced.

some kids that play online games aren't old enough to half ever talked about drugs and their effects, which is why i don't support talking about drugs. even if the kid is smart, if they aren't educated in that field and all they've ever heard about the subject is "i was high for hours" or "it was pretty crazy :)", then that experience seems pretty enticing~

Same concept just worded differently. And even if its talked about confortable like you said, they would still want to experience it either way. Saying things like "I was high for hours," is quite a confortable way to say it, and that as you said could make a person want to experience it. Pretty much what you're saying is, "This website should ban anyone that says anything about drugs" if you vote in favor of the post maker.

And if someones morally responsable, they won't do drugs in the first place so that's a redundent statement in the first place.

And if they aren't old enough to have talked about drugs, maybe they should be thinking about other shit then being on a forum or playing a videogame that can have things like that around them. Thats just leaning back on perental guidence.
