Not really needed. You'll always have people who'll act responsibly and those who won't. Someone who knows how to behave doesn't need anymore incentive than someone who has a habit for earning warns and suspensions all day long.
If you give a kid candy, he'll only want more.

im not saying that people will only do this to receive rewards, people already act the way they should on this site, and seek nothing for their good behavior or character, so why not give them a little extra for doing so when the power to do so is there? you said it yourself you have people who act the way they should and people that wont, so why would this be any big thing to give those people things that have never even asked to be accommodated or acknowledged for their gestures? the people that do not follow the rules will go unrewarded, the kind people that help others out in one way or another would be. the ONLY thing that would come of this is more people doing kind things, or people doing more kind things.

well, as with any regular person they are more willing to do things for friends and less for strangers. its human nature.

but there is a lot more that can be done with this site, people just need to open their eyes. i doubt anything will come of it simply because im new and im sure these posts are making me more unpopular by the post, which is ridiculous, seeing as how these ideas are nothing but suggestions. im just surprised there are not more people on this site that think in a similar fashion.

why would you not want to receive things for doing what youre supposed to when they have more then enough resources to reward their users that MAKE THEM MONEY, for free?

I know what it is you're getting at. There's too much pessimism on this site blocking alot of decent ideas. There's people who hate the site, yet still use it. And others who use it to game with friends. Also others who don't really care much for improvement or anything new. Although it'd be nice to see happen, it's a long shot.

and is there any reasoning to this? for this not being a hard concept, it seems as though you have not put much thought into your reply, unless, perhaps, you were just trying to be mysterious?

with as much money as this site makes off of people buying forum gold for their entertainment, it seems there should be something for their consumers, other then simply providing the service of this site, which could be just as easily created and run by anyone with little html background.

We are not consumers - over 90% do not contribute to the site at all.

And my reply is logic - you do not deserve a prezzie for abiding by the rules. You don't get a chocolate bar when you turn up for work on time, or you do the dishes at home, why should you get a prezzie for not spamming, not flaming, not being bad on a forum?

Voted no. You should be following the rules and act respectful regardless. I don't think people should be given incentive to do so. Following the rules and being respectful is a choice a user has to make, and should make without any incentive pushing them either way. They should come to it on their own terms, not because they're going to get FG or a free bump.
