I wouldn't mind breaking it up into further subdivisions, such as:
-USA Politics
-Canada Politics
-Africa
-Asia
-Europe
-Latin America
-Middle East
-Oceania
And as each of those sub-forums fill up, we add more for individual countries. Like Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia(bank), Japan, etc.
I'm gonna have to disagree with this. It should be a forum for general political theory as much as for specifics. PaRD isn't super active as it is, the most it should be split up is into two forums (which I still think would be wise).
As to them being intertwined, I see no reason they should be. Religion can be brought up in certain political topics in what would be the new political forum, inasmuch as it is relevant to the discussion (for example, discussing Santorum would obviously include discussing Christian ethics). However, there is no way in which politics affects religious discussion, or should anyway. Splitting them up wouldn't so much remove religion from political discussion, but remove political discussion from a forum that should revolve around religious discussion.
