Since alot of the mods can tell what is a friendly joke or a sarcastic remark im starting this poll, so people will feel as tho there not getting suspended and warned for things that are not that bad, harmless jokes, or just friendly talk between freinds

Just wondering, what if you typed "[sarcasm] not funny text here [/sarcasm]" and you were NOT friends with that person and you only did it in "[sarcasm] [/sarcasm]" so you wouldn't get suspended or warned for your "sarcasm" comment?

I don't see how the mods could tell all of the time if it was meant to be a joke or sarcasm. The mods don't know the conversations that you and your friend have about things.

Yes, but in this way everyone can use this when he's insulting someone to avoid warn/suspension.

i didnt vote because what if people use it to get away with saying things that are meant be to be offensive and they just use the "sarcasm tool" to keep mods from being able to do anything. i have nothing against the suggestion, but how would you prevent this

Potential for abuse is huge, furthermore sarcastically asking for FG donations is still asking for donations and sarcastically flaming someone is still a flame. Whether you meant it sarcastically or not, it's still not permitted on d2jsp. It's just best to be more wise with the words you chose when you post. :) Oh, I voted no.

Just be straight forward, who cares if a mod gives you a 15 minute suspension for a post....

probably not the best idea like i said, im just trying to put a layer of protection between mods and reg jsp users, i posts every day about how someone feels they have been takin out of context and warned or suspended for a reason they dont see is justified. something to help the mods sort this type of situation out i think would not only make the mods jobs easier, but make the normal users of jsp feel better aswell. i mean i know someone who got warned for saying douche bag Lol, most of jsp is not 6 years old and im sure has herd of it before

There are places for friends to joke around and be sarcastic with friends. In a public trading or discussion thread is not one of these areas. Guild topics are a perfect area.
