or change it so you have to log-in with an email address and have the notification that you need to choose a new username because you were afk 1k days or whatever

Agreed.. I see both sides of it, and understand why we can't just change their names, but in my opinion I believe it is messed up when people make a name just so they can say they have it when they really have 3 other accounts on jsp.. but as previously stated (something I diddn't think about) they wouldnt be able to relog on incase they were like, "oh lookie here I havn't been on jsp in 7 years I wonder whats up!"
