Nope, i've never had one closed due to early bumps in any sub-forum the rule is there for a reason, follow it and there will be no problem.

If it was just you bumping your thread, yes you'd have more chances to do this. But since there are many users that browse that forum, that means more people will be doing the same. You think the trade forums are a mess now, they will be much much worse with no bump rules and make it even harder on the mods to enforce the remaining rules because they'll have even more threads to go through. A lower bump time would be detrimental to the flow of the trade forum, not an asset.

There are 50 threads on the top page. You posted a thread, and 49 other people bump their posts. Your thread is already gone. By the time you bump your thread, another 49 people have bumped theirs making yours disappear. Do you get the picture now? I cannot make this any more clearer for you. It won't work. The only way to help your trade threads be seen more is to increase the bump time and punish the rulebreakers.

Not to mention njaguar has said on numerous occasions that he will not be changing the bump rules and have given the same reason of your threads disappearing even faster.

I'm going to go ahead and vote no on this. On the grounds that it isn't a very good idea and that it's probably a joke / troll.

Then make it so when people respond to other posts (have a quote) you can't get the early bump rule... because you don't want people to wait 4 hours for a response. The inboxes get filled too fast.. So make it so people don't get in trouble for responding to previous posts.

If you respond to a post that is not an early bump (as long as it's trade related and not spam) and early bump would be a back to back post within the 4, 12, or 24 hour bump rule. Also I don't trade, so no i've never had a topic closed.



Wrong again, the less time the bump rule has would cause topics to be spammed in like crazy to stay on the top of the list to be seen by traders. Which would cause a topic to hit the 60post close (if trading grounds) really quick.

Just suggestion will never be implanted i'm sorry.

This is going to cause chaos.
1. Everybody would end up bumping every 30 seconds and your thread would never get seen making trading near impossible.
2. Would make people want to develop spam bots.

there's the pm function for a reason. and there's plenty of space in the inbox if you clear it out on a regular basis.

but responding to someone who bumped your thread for you, their post is an early bump, as is your response to it.
