Yes. I am so tired of my topics going like 2 hours unseen by anyone until i can bump it. Good idea.

Voted Yes. (2 Hours preferred)

But if they are to lessen the legal bump time, I think spam posts/topics should have a quicker temp ban/warn penalty invoked. If people abuse this rule, have possibly an auto 6/12/24 hour banned based on closed topics per hour(s). For example, if my topic gets closed (either trade or spam) and I have had 4 or 5 topics closed(by a med either for spam or early bump) in a matter of an hour or so, maybe the site could somehow recognize this (similar to post flooding or search flooding) and either temp ban or just revoke posting for a few minutes to hours to greater lengths of time pending the amount/type of topics closed. Just and idea of course and this shortening of the bump rule should only be changed in certain forums. Places such as the scammer accusation thread should remain how it is because the meds need time to review cases and the current time is quite reasonable.

Guess what would happen if the bump time was lowered? your thread would disappear faster.
If anything, the bump time needs to be longer. That way threads stay up longer.
Njaguar has said on many occasions that this will not be changing.

Plz refer to earlier reply to the exact same thing u just said

Your logic makes no sense, when you have a such a long legal bump time ppl are forced to break the rule and inturn spam the forums way more than if it was simply lowered to once every 2 hours

Regardless of whether threads could be bumped earlier you have a greater chance of havign your thread seen since u can bump it more often legally

Illegal bumps every 10 minutes compared to legal bumps every 2 hours ... do the math

Makes perfect sense. Lowering the bump time will mean everyone is bumping quicker, thus your threads disappear faster. It's not rocket surgery.
There are already illegal bumps, making a lower time would actually increase the rule infractions because they need to keep up with the new rule.
And my comment was not addressed. Someone thinks that it wouldn't matter, but they're wrong.

By the way, no one is forced to break the rules. Majority of users on this forum trade quickly and easily by following the rules. The minority seems to think the rules don't apply to them and will come up with any excuse to violate them. That's not how things work.

As I said before, Njaguar has already stated that he will not be changing the bump time and these types of thread show up at least once a month and get closed.
