I feel also that, while this is directed towards the entirety of d2jsp's users, this wouldn't be remotely fair to the select few (some whom I can vouch btw) who actually deal with loans legitimately.

...then again, that's why we have PM's as well as common knowledge of those whom are 100% trustworthy. I approve.

Moderators should take a serious look in the BnP forums, warn people who bump their thread every minute even if the thread is still in the top5. And all the spam topics and people begging for loans too, ofcourse.

Voted yes, although I'm fairly certain it will get shot down. They will simply say that 'jsp does not support loans and you do so at your own risk'. I'd love to see it happen though.

I concur with this statement as well, being that I give loans to good buddies/fellow guild members frequently and keep track of them through my saved pms.

You loan at your own risk.

But you ask people publicy / privately at your own risk of being warned or verbaled by a moderator.

Thats the general idea here.

I vote no, but I think it should be case by case tbh. If someones going around posting for loans everywhere, I.E. Hockey@JSP (He's done this multiple times and I've pm'd a mod only to have NOTHING done about it) or pming random people in hopes of getting a loan, yeah, a warn. If its somebody people in that area know and hes asking for a good reason, no, thats not that reasonable to me.

There are no good reasons for loans.

All it does is put other users fg in jeopardy for absoutely no reason, whilst nothing can be done about it if it's taken

I hope you take a more pragmatic view on this.

It's arguably the easiest way to scam on jsp, without anything being done.

It's incredibly irritating when people ask you, I'm sure we have all been asked at least once by some unknown.

Everyone knows it's taboo on jsp, and they should hand out a warning, if not increase your warn bar.

I can understand why jsp doesn't support this, because the S/A forums would be filled if they did.

This being said, I feel it would stop alot of potential scams that new jsp users would fall victim to.

First of all - JSP does not support loans, so nothing legal can be done seeing as how your not supposed to be doing it anyway. This means there will never be a warn given for asking for a loan.
Second of all - DON"T GIVE LOANS to people you don't fully trust, simple as that - If you do your scamming yourself in my opinion.
Third of all - This falls under the catagory of simple harassment issues and to stop this, all you need to do is PM them and tell them (do not ask me for a loan ever again) and if they continue, you can report them - this is as good as a warn
Fourth of all - Your acting like a rich, uppity, Ebeneezer Scrooge atm if you didn't realize this and it actually is (Christmas Time) Not everyone is a scammer and not everyone deserves to get a warn when they ask for help. - I vote NO

In an idealistic world, I can see your argument

Although, we know the history of here of people publicy asking for loans.

A High Majority of the time, Users get scammed, let alone harrassed as you just said.

This should prevent this.

Voted yes. Meds explicitly stated that you cannot get locked for this because you do it at your own risk.

Essentially, loans are a way to scam with impunity.
