It would work if there was 100% proof but Paul will not do it. Its a business decision...by not giving it back it removes fg from the market which in turn makes people buy more of it from him.

The site already gives back forum gold that has been scammed IF the scammer repays his scams. There is a whole process set up for this and mods that work in a forum to help users repay there scams.

People don't have 3+ hours to wait for a mediator?

yeah but if they just scam just to piss people off and take fg then they will never repay. so it really wouldn't be hard to track fg through scams if the person is locked it shouldn't matter and they should send back the fg that was sent to him automatically.
you can sit there and say people would falsely accuse people but that happens everyday still and the person doesn't get locked. so in order for the fg to be returned it has to be ruled that he did in fact scam meaning the mods know he scammed you and for how much and that amount should be re payed. its not freaking difficult you guys are just stubborn and don't like to see change.

The locked user must either get a friend to repay his scams, trade items vs fg with a mediator, or simply buy fg for the purpose of using it to repay scams.

Since locked fg cannot be used to repays scams, it is essentially removed from the system.
In the first two repay methods, no extra fg is added to the system, and while it is in the third, Paul is compensated with monetary gains.



The argument that implementing this suggestion would create too many false accusations doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
Seeing as a locked tag severely limits your "JSP experience," a potential motivation for false accusations already exists - A false accusation can cripple a user who you strongly dislike.

Furthermore, Qry noted that scammers frequently decide to repay victims.
If this is truly the case, then the current system encourages false accusations to a degree comparable to this suggestion; however, no one seems to fear a mass flood of false accusations under the current system.

Way to many reports would be made there is alot of work the already have to do they can't do everything

I'm not going to read all the posts but this site offers you mediators which you can use.
It's up to you trade with or without them.
You chose not to use one and got scammed, blame yourself.

1. Use a mediator.

2. What if the person who scammed you no longer has the FG?? Some people get repaid others don't? To many complications.
