what if you already made the trade, how would it know to stop bumping? what if you needed to update your next bump with changes in your ft/iso? there are too many negatives about this when you can simply bump for yourself.

I think it should be something like this
Whenever you push "Bump" theres no post or anything your topic just goes to the top of the list (what you suggested)
And the only way to get a topic to the top is by bumping it or by making a new topic
It might flood out all the spam topics alittle, and this way you are the only one that can bump your topics
There will be no more "free bumps" and even spam threads

No, but there isn't always a deadline.
An autobump would certainly bump the thread when you are not online, and that is dumb.
We could be talking about a tradelist with FT on each item, and that's just one example of how people trade.
