What if that individual decided to come back to jsp, just to find his account was gone. It wouldn't be fair would it.

is not because some one wants the name is because after 3 years of never loging in to that occount then whats the point of u having it.that occount does not suport or contribue to the website at all,and am not saying to delete the occount but have some type of system that the occount remains open yet wen ever they sing in they have to chose a new name,kind of like wen u change ur name in wow wen u log in u just chose and new name and thats it simple and esy.

I suppose you could be right about that, I see the argument there.. Banned accounts should be deleted for sure. That is a complete waste I think.

2 year limits and to be notified of that right away upon registration would suffice. I know of another site that does that too after 90 days inactive its gone. Keeps their space down.

I agree with this. Since the account is closed and the previous owner is no longer able to log into it, there should be a recycling method.

Although, I feel as if there should be a surcharge (much like name changes). This would disuade that prior member from regaining control of that banned account after it was "recycled".

Like leaving your account on d2 inactive for a long time, if someone takes your name its gone... you have to try and keep up!
