if your a mod your adding another mod and decide how strict your going to be.... and if you have never been a mod then you have no idea what might be going on that makes things the way they are

Moderation here is weird at best. Mods religiously jump to lock some threads for early bumps while they seem to totally ignore all others violating the same rules - and the endless oceans of spamming, trolling, obscenities, and flaming that go on in the boards (at least on trading hc east ladder).

not really... cause alot of people just make multis to do this stuff again and again, but if your not happy with what you have and your not willing to make a difference then you dont deserve better, it should not be someone elses responsibilty to make you happy

So you're saying we shouldn't even have mods or what?

There needs to be people with responsibilty, and in no way am I trying to offend or personally insult any of the staff, sure they do a great job



Hence this topic, trying to make a difference and make JSP a nicer place

If there was a way to be a mod, I'd do it, sure, and I reckon I could make a difference, but it isn;t really an option, there are people who have been here longer than me, and probably look more trusted, it's not that possible for me to make more of a difference than post a suggestion

not that there should not be mods, but you want more mods and where are they going to come from? if njag thinks its needed he would make more mods, until then the most you can do is help out the mods we have by stopping stuff like that

They are going to come from people who are well known, trusted, and consistantly contribute to the community, very active etc

One of my points is that even reporting posts does nothing, or very little at best. If you report a post as spam, it is ignored 99.9% of the time. If there were harsher mods, then presumably reporting via the button would do more.

spam will almost never give you warn because there is to much, there are alot of other things that you can report that helps alot ntm reporting multi's etc which is part of the problem, because if there were less users wouldnt it be easier to watch them all?
