So, would you be in favor of implementing this policy on the entire site?

In a sensitive area like this forum where there are a lot of slander, persecution etc, they should be more strict on policies. I have seen the type of spam and ignorant comments made. If you can't handle and follow simple things like the trade rules and receive warn, you should work on your forum knowledge before you pursue other areas of this site.

Also, I do visit that area, I just don't post in there.

Any further discussion would be getting off-topic and considered spam. I voted "No warns allowed", goodnight.

It is a privelage to post, not a right. There are guidlines set fourth to enforce this. People who can't follow the rules are then punished as a way to help them better understand the rules. This is necessary especailly in these areas.

To be logically consistent you must say yes. In fact, your entire post (and the line of thinking which inspired it) would make useless the entire "warn bar" system, as any infraction the rules warrants expulsion from the site entirely.

Not to mention you have likely never set foot in the forum we are discussing, so you have no idea about the userbase there nor do you understand how little warn matters in that sub-forum.

Funny, I've been in PaRD for years and I don't remember seeing you there once. You once again make the erroneous misconception that anyone with a warn cannot contribute positively to the forum.

I haven't seen you post in PaRD much. There really isn't that much spam in PaRD relative to most sub-forums. PaRD is pretty much self-moderated by its users. If a particular user gets out of hand, moderators tend to be PMed due to urgency.

The spam he was reacting to was spam in the Christian Forum that he recently created.

You've basically added ignorant comments on a sub-forum you know absolutely nothing about.

If you simply cannot obey the rules and avoid Warns, you dont deserve to be here at all.
So take yourself together, get the warnings removed and start on a fresh.

So, I take it we have another user who wishes to put this warn restriction on the entire forum?

Again, your line of reasoning would include every forum and sub-forum on this site, not just the political and religious sub-forum, so why is it so special as to warrant this treatment?

I see the necessity of enforcing some higher standards on such a sub forum, but all you're doing is asking for more multis. And with multis come more spam and flaming. You will just be back trying to fix the subforum in a few weeks if you don't relax the rules a little bit.

A decent compromise is 10%. I post there regularly with what I consider decent posts and I've made a silly mistake and received a 10% warn. I've received PMs about signatures being too large or having too much text. Should I really be gone for a month for such a silly infraction? Nah.

I can't help but think that this will be a detriment to the sub forum, and you might find that out a little too late.

He just wants a "trusted" tag.

That much is clear, and to be honest it is kind of pathetic.

10% is a good compromise, I think, but I felt 20% did a very good job at deterring trolls/spammers/etc.
