True, but for example there are several threads in the anime section for the discussion of several series (recently watched anime topic for example). Spoilers are to be expected in there certainly, but there is no way to tell exactly what will be discussed, For example recently I found out the end to a series I was watching. It was no fault of the person that posted, but if spoiler tags were implemented stuff like this could be avoided much easier.

It's just a much nicer looking solution then writing in funny colors , plus I believe people would use it more.

I use a forum for math questions and competitions and it has this feature, which is great, because when someone posts work to a question, when you view the post, you don't see the work, and you can try the question by yourself.
Would be nice for movies and books also.
