D2 Reset = Jsp Forum Gold Reset - Topic

Five years later down the road, I want to start playing Diablo II again, since everybody else still does and I want to show my new buddies this old game. Now I have no where to start! But with FG I do!

Of course, the 'economy' on Diablo II may change on a daily basis, you have somewhere to start off. Or perhaps, you want to quit Diablo II and play soley Ladder Slasher, now I can sell ALL my Diablo II gear for FG, and play!

But those are just my opinions, again! I disagree with this suggestion. No offense to: Sin_No_Evil.

Yeah thats really nice but really it's not fair for people from other games who started at 0 and worked for those items... A reset would also help all the other games be more fair.

Okay what about Sports Coliseum where people bet tons of fgs on sports games/poker games, there's people with 100-400k fgs in there, how would you feel to lose all of that? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad losing your 20.00 fgs but someone who puts a lot of work and time in to making their fgs wouldn't enjoy it so much I don't think.

Sin_No_Evil, I understand what you're saying and in a sense, it's true.

If you only played Diablo II, and only played Ladder, and it followed the resets with it, that'd be fine! But D2JSP is no longer purely about Diablo II, as such, the rules have changed.
People who earn FG for/from NeoPets who also play Diablo II do not deserve their hard-earned "money" to be erased simply because Diablo II had a "reset" on Ladder.
Imagine if you had finally! In the course of a single year amounted to $5,000,000 FG! Then suddenly NeoPets had some sort of a "reset" on everybodys items/characters/money (in the "bank")...
How would that make YOU feel? Not very happy would it?

Again! That's just my two cents on the subject (suggestion *).

OH! Also Sin_No_Evil, people can pay currency (non-game related) for forum gold, how would it be fair to THEM if their non-transferable forum gold was erased?

Big no here:

There are several other supported games that require FG to trade such as:

- Ladder Slasher

- World of Warcraft

- Guild Wars

- Runescape

- MapleStory

- Neopets

And other ways people spend their FG including donating to the site.

I see where you're coming from, where it'd be fair for everyone to reset at 0, but it'd actually be completely unfair towards people who worked so hard/spent so much for their acquired FG.

This suggestion will only get rejected, sorry.

Hmm I see your points... but there has to be something that can be done? Maybe make a new type of FG currency just for D2 ladder that can't be traded for the regular forum gold and that gets reset with D2?
