As I said, have limitations as to who can do the rating, and be able to report users that post bullshit ratings.
This would help others to know what to expect of the person, if they're trustworthy or not, etc, etc.
This would probably give mods more work, but may also decrease the size of the "Scammers Accusations" forum.
Might also encourage a percent of the forums users to try and aim to be a little bit more mature, helpful and such.

I think that many ppl in here would be proud of having a terrible reputation. Especialy those 24/7 spammers (ex. from the german sub forum), And a rating is imo useles if you can report it if you dont like it. and the work for the mods would be imense, imagine how much ratings the'd have to delete after a multi just rated everyone who just walks over his way!

the idea is not bad and not new, but doesn't fit to this board imo

I disagree, if people are getting false ratings then there is a greater possibility of being scammed.

Anytime you do not trust another just request a mediator and there will be no problem



They will be noticed, but by then the damage is done and mods do not have the time to run around and reset ratings

So your saying someone is going to go ahead and make a multi get it to the minimal limitations just to rate people, AND be unnoticed?

How would you fairly pick who can and cant use the system? and what would reporting do? even if you report someone that gave you a bad rating maybe thats how they feel about you and you cant fairly punish them for it just cause your unhappy with your rating also even if someone did give you a bad rating just to be a jerk and you report them so what you still have your rep hurt from it.

Its not needed at all and is really pretty pointless. Im not trying to offend you but theres just no reason for this to be put in effect. People will know who to trust once they see enough people trade on the forums not by some silly rating system.

Also this would not decrease the size of S/A work or mods work. People would cry to mods if they dont like there rating and that adds onto the mods work and as for the s/a work people would just be more upset if they got scammed by someone with a high rating.

Lastly it could be taken advantage of very easy. Say a guild of all Bm dupers has 100 members and they all give each other perfect ratings. Then people look at there rating and think hmm well this persons rating is really good so there item cant be duped right? then it poofs on them and that would make the s/a work increse and more people would get pissed off cause these guys just took advantage of the system to scam someone.

i wanted to tell you, that there are many freaks (especialy in german sub forum) which own xxxx multis and the only thing they are doint the whole time, is making troubles. they would rly enjoy to make such bad reputations, especialy when the medis need to delete them all afterwards.

jsp got to many imature users, this system would fail here epicly!

It wouldn't be easy to set up a system like this to work properly, neither will picking what people would be able to use it. But to have one that works good and is hard to be abused, would help those who don't use the forums often, or are new to understand who is more trustworthy, and there is many people who don't like waiting for a med.

And for those people who would desire and aim for a bad reputation, shouldn't they be the ones already getting banned?

In a perfect world an accurate trade rating would be a good idea, but since there is no easy and fair way to do it this argument is rather pointless. There is no way this could be moderated and would be more of a nuisance then a help.

If you simply use a mediator you will not be scammed and will not have to worry about who is more trusted and who is not. Those who do not like to wait for a mediator know the risk involved in not using one

many users would use multis to rate themselfes. would not work.
maybe in a perfect world, like wasmack said - but in a perfect world such ratings are not needed at all.
there are enough old multis around, and spamming for a higher postcount is no problem.
