Comparing this site to eeebay is a horrible comparision on several levels. People who make false acusations and scam are held 100% accountable for their actions and can be prosecuted. That is not the case with this site.

While the intention of this suggestion is sincere, there are too many people that would abuse it in making their name good or defiling the names/accountability of others. While there is to an extent good site management of this forum, the addition of this sugestion would need an entire new team dedicated to making this system work.

Not practical. I vote no regardless of the fact that your voting options are completely biased.

Well you can actually already today trade Diablo 2 items on e-bay and use their feedback system if the item poof so why cant Njaguar do the same? And I dont think this feature should require more moderator supervision than any other forum. The idea I believe in is that the users themselves will take care of scammers if you just give them the tools that allow it.

And I agree with you that the voting options are biased happy.gif Although it doesnt seem to affect the voting. Maybe users are not ready for this kind of change.

Come on guys all I want is a discussion about this, what are the pros and cons? Give it a fair hearing!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

groups would abuse it.  friends giving each other rave reviews and too easy for one person to maliciously ruin someone's reputation.

this is brought up every few days and the answer will be the same.

hm yea

This wouldn't stop unperm sellers. This would open up more abuse and give the mods MORE work.
As it's been said numerous times. This will never happen.

so if I sell 5 good items safely and they don't poof I have 100% feedback and I can sell 1-2 unperms then, then just create another account

this just gives false security

sorry but that feedback is so much abuseable and lacks control completely

I don't see any advantages of this other than for some individuals abusing the system

Well any system can be abused obviously. A knife can be a useful tool used to cut bread or if used wrongly you might cut your fingers badly. A feedback system is the same way, you have to know how to use it properly rather than trusting it blindly. If a guy joined the site yesterday and has 20 posts then obviously 5 positive feedback comments will mean shit since its probably a multi account user. If on the other hand a guy has been a member 2 years and has 10000 posts and no negative feedback comments then he probably wont suddenly start behaving dishonestly. You really cant see any benefit here?

that's exactly why we don't have such a system

edit : I can also add somebody threaten to add a negative remark which marks poofed item, though it didn't poof AT ALL, in order to regain my fg - easy scammed fg

so abuseable
