Not needed. Once a trade is done, ignore the thread. If people keep bumping, you can pm a trade assistant to close it.
Closing your own threads is a privilege of members++ or higher and won't be changed.

As arsenic said, never going to happend. Normal user dont need any of modteam's rights.

Whether it's needed or not, I do believe this is a good idea of a privilege (that should be earned) that could be taken away if abused.

well I mean a button for yourself, not so someone else can come in and close your thread.. just one that you could close when you're done with it

I voted yes, it may be their right, but after the thread should be closed, people always pm me asking for the item, it is not needed. The mods have the power, but is it a bad thing to close your own thread? Is there a problem with mods giving up the power?

No, the mods do not need the power to close OUR own threads... That's ridiculous

A "request to close" button would just mean a ton of unneeded work for the staff.

There's no reason for it honestly. It's already been said a couple of times, but if you no longer need the thread, just stop posting in it, or post saying "Got it, thanks." I've done my fair share of trading(Glances at posts), and have never, ever needed anything like this.
