so i wanted to change my name and some of the name i would like to change to is already in use and i looked the users up and then they are even banned or last seen more than 1000 days ago

So if you are offline for more than 1000 days your account will get deleted
and all banned users account will get deleted
that would be reasonable and should help the site to get rid of all users that doesn't use JSP anymore

i dont think it is fair to ban if u been afk for 1000 days

but permenent banned people should get deleted ofc

What about doing something along these lines?
You want a name, the guy has been offline since something wild like 2003 and you want his account name
could you pay 3000, 1500 for his name change and then 1500 to change your name to his former one..
its obvious the people who made those accounts just wanted to take origional names to peeve others off..

This has been suggested many times before. It won't happen. Accounts are never deleted. If we changed peoples usernames and they come back attempting to login, they won't be able to since it will be an invalid username/pass. First come, first serve.

I assume people make multi's just to take that name I've attempted to change my name and found out it's a 2011 with 0 posts etc - I'm sure others will understand my point

/e it's understandable of njag to not remove accounts for being inactive after a certain point, it's just too bad that people result to lame tactics to take names by making multi's

People get banned for being schmucks, bm and all around inappropriate behavior. Generally, a lot of users remember that name as such so to let a new person think it is a good name to use is an awful idea. Plus, what is the incentive to avoid getting banned if they can remake the same name?
