Seriously, i just wanted your attention and you realize some things happening.
Pool question doesn't really matter.

Ive come up with this situation.

I've not played diablo for some time now, and when i come back i see tons of people selling names. At first i reported these topics, but now someone told me that is was now alright to sell names.

So i asked how jsp handle people who gets scammed

i get this answer:
Quote (Reset @ Apr 25 2011 12:04am)
It's at the buyer/sellers risk since they can't mediate the transfer

Than i come to the conclusion :

lol, so it's now legal to scam?
Since jsp doesn't deal with these kind of trade, and theres no proof of the trade.

This isn't all

i love how they encourage public bots
wasn't it fine when trading name wasn't allowed?

Here's where it's from http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=54152951&f=34&o=10#p361931045

Here's the example:

Since name bot is pretty common and even public, selling name is risked.
So jsp won't do anything if the name is lost, it's at our own risk.

But what happens if:
The seller delete the character with the name
The buyer makes the new character, but he says that the name was already taken

How to get proof of this?
Theres no way, since people could use mutiple cd-key and have more than one account open at the same time, it isn't an option to track the account name and know who really got the name

I've also come to this:
Jsp doesn't support bots, and name bot is public
isn't that irony?

I know people did name trade even when it was illegal, but at least jsp didn't support scamming.

Thanks for reading, i hope i make some change to this

By change i mean that trading name become illegal once again

You're not in the obligation to post

Maybe you don't care about people getting scammed or not, but i do.

it wasn't illegal in the first place for no reason

its easy to get someone to set up fraps cam n logon to there acct while they do this to see whats going on even easier to stalk the person who bought the name but
didn't get.

ppl who sell names use em on pvp'ers mostly .. you'll see them eventually

Yes, but like i said, there's no way to track names
some people uses 1 character per account

but fraps is a solution, except that they can be edited

What if the buyer want's to scam you?

even if you see the name you "lost" in another game, who would really know if the scammer scammed you or he really lost the name

And seller doesn't always takes frap, most name seller are poor people trying to make fg out of nothing

well, doesn't work out for me

most name seller are poor people trying to make fg out of nothing
Not really hard to scam them if you attempt to

And since trading name is legal, theres about 1 topic out of 10 trading names

trading names is no longer illegal on diablo ii

this was a recent update, if you check the jsp trading rules you'll find this under illegal trades:

Do not trade accounts, characters, or names. (Exceptions: Eve Online, Diablo II)

i think this was a stupid idea to do, for the very reason you pose about people being able to use hacks to steal the name that you purchased before you're able to get it.

i don't really know if there's anything you can do about it. =\
