i have been thinkin about this recently, mostly because i look through the s/a forum pretty often. i think it would be a great idea to have a search function in the s/a like we have in the trading forums. i think that this could help because we could do a quick search for someone (say someone we are about to trade with), instead of having to look through 10+ pages of s/a before finding or not finding something on them. please post if you agree or disagree and why.

and why would it matter because the people that get locked stay locked or earn it off before they trade with you. Past is past bro

ah ok, i was unaware that it had been suggested in the past. the main reason for this isnt for what you did in 08, but simply stuff that happened recently that has been pushed to back pages due to other s/a's.

Been suggested, been denied, inherently flawed concept, etc.

Just use a mediator and it doesn't matter who you trade with.
If you don't have time for one then don't trade.

its not all necessarily about trading either. if someone requests to join our guild, i would like to look through the s/a and find out if they are a stand up person. if they have an active s/a against them it can make it a much different decision as to letting them into the guild or not. this is not just about trading, but other matters as well.

not all accusations made are valid, or even real , thus making the whole idea of "past accusations" quite useless for you
As long as someone isn't locked , and you don't see any recent accusation (first 2 pages ) you should be fine
as suggested, use a mediator for trades, and if it's not trade related , use your judgment

i agree with most of what you said, however if there is an accusation (whether it be real or fake) for any of our guild members or future members, i think this would make it much easier for us to kinda see what is going on so we know. i understand that what someone did 5 years ago is of no concern today, and i would never say that someone is a bad person based on one mistake 5 years ago, this is more of a whats going on now type of thing for me... if that makes any sense.

edit: and sometimes it takes 6 months to get someone locked even with efficient proof.

I think the search feature in S/A would be a great help not only to the members but to the mod team! Great suggestion!!
