With the use of ajax I think this would be pretty neat with real time last post timing and such.

If I was reading a long post, and then some1 decided to spam in it, It would automaticly refresh the page, and I would be completely lost.
This would be extremely annoying

Well if you are already in that thread, I wouldn't suggest nor would I think they would have it update while it is being viewed. That is what you would have refresh yourself.
Only topics, not while you are in the thread yourself.

The site load would not like this.

Never going to happen imo. In the trade forums your threads dont stay on page one for more than 1 minute. With this it would be almost instantly off page one. Nobody will see it. Also people willbe offling so trading will take days if you are from different time zones.

Bad idea, why increase server load at all. System works fine, if you want to see new topics use FF or Chrome and set a page to autorefresh.
