Don't know if this has been already suggested before.

Good or bad idea?

to be able to secure your forum gold with password (preventing forum gold to enter/leave)

of course there has to be a way to recover this password via email if one forgets the password.

Voted yes, but if you got keylogged..they could just go recover the password and you still lose your fg yeah?

Hmm I see, i tried to find an easier solution to people trying to intentionally lock their fg for safety, X)

this self-lock thing should make it a little harder for the keylogger, as he/she would need both the email to recover it from AND the jsp account

maybe there should also be a security question that goes with it?

im not quite sure if i understand... sounds like ur just saying to password protect ur FG, which u can already do....

Yea, i dont understand what is different from what you are asking vs. gold-specific password system that is already in place

That's right and if you think that you got a keylogger, just pm a mod of the SA team and ask him to lock your fg

This is basically the same as the current gold password. If someone is able to recover that they will also be able to obtain another one.

Voted no as it is absolutely not needed.
