I do not see any reason as to why locked users can't report threads. Taking away that right really doesn't help the site at all. Most locked users probably don't even care if they can or can't report threads, but i do. I plan on using the site for trading sometime from now when i get unlocked. I think for users like me it would help a little to be able to report posts and threads to help keep the site clean. Let me know what you think.

I'm fairly sure this has been suggested before.

One issue with allowing this is that most scammers would probably abuse it and just mass report threads that aren't violations, and thus waste moderator's time.

The mods could have the power to take away the right to report topics for locked users. Or they could put a limit on how many reports a user can make a day. There are many solutions to this problem. And what is to say a locked user would abuse it any more then a nonlocked user? If anything, most locked user wouldn't care and probably wouldn't even use it.

I voted yes but there is one problem with this most "locked/scammer" users don't care that there locked, and what I'm trying to say is that people can randomly report every thread in eye sight giving the mediator's a waste of time looking over falsely reporting topics.

An unlocked user has much more to lose:

* Warnings (Most locked scammers don't care about warns)
* Forum gold (If by some chance you're locked for abusing the system)
* Reputation

etc

I don't think you can be locked for reporting threads.... Reputation? It doesn't say who reports, so that is invalid in my opinion. Warnings... I dought many people get warned for reporting stuff, but mods could warn locked users that missuse the report button. Or they could skip that warning and just take that privalige away?
