So, as we all know My Events has taken over a large portion of the trading area on this website.

Notes to whoever made this :: Did you notice we can't see post times, Creation time, amount of FG each person has, how old their account is, how many posts they have, who is logged in/out, who is a mediator or not, we can't call a mediator (From my own Event I could not). Edit add :: Can't see locked/scammer tags either.

These are all things needed while conducting trades, all of which you neglected to put into the system. Have you traded lately, because I have and having to go to each and every persons profile and check on this information and attempt to remember it when re-reading their posts is a miserable thing to do.

Have you noticed that My Events has also absolutely no use or help to the community, it has not made anything easier, but many times harder. The most simplistic thing you could have done which would completely beat My Events over the top without any second thoughts would be a NEW "Subforum". What's a subforum you ask? Well its that thing you've already got 100's of on this bloody site! Runescape - Runescape Trading - Runescape Jobs. (Fixed one!)

Next! World of Warcraft - World of Warcraft Trading - World of Warcraft Level Jobs. (Fixed another!)

Organized, simple, already been tested to work, and nobody can complain. You seperate everything out (Which is obviously your point by attempting this My Events thing) and all you need is a moderator to check in on the new what 10-15 sub forums?


I'm done ranting, but the My Events system has A LOT of work to do on it before its even relatively a decent system to give people jobs through. Thanks for your time and I hope you see it from a traders point of view.

This isn't just some guy ranting and bitching about a system, this is a logical view point of things that could be done, or need to be fixed. Thanks!

Removal of My Events and Creating Sub Forums for Jobs is practically the same thing in essence, but they are two different votes.

The events system is stupid as hell.

If it MUST be in its own place, atleast create a subforum for "Jobs" UNDER RS Trading.

(Referring to Runescape section obviously)

Until those issues are fixxed, it is and always will be.. A Obsolete update against a sub forum creation.

I know how to use the system, and the system don't work well.

I understand how the system works, it is just more trouble than it's worth implementing this more complex system than just leaving threads as they were.
I didn't see the problem with the way things were before posting threads about needing jobs instead of needing to create an event for it.



This was a slightly decent idea, just implemented poorly/prematurely.

The only issue I have with it is not being able to post Service ISO's in the trade section

Hell no I didn't read it, people need to calm the hell down.

People complained in D2 because they weren't allowed to host their own ubers without a trusted/med tag. That's why they wanted something like My Events, so they could now BREAK A RULE that had been in place for a long time. Hell, I would bitch and moan for a system that allows me to make uber leveling service if it means I can do it without a trust/med tag. Good job, you gave people a loophole to breaking rules. The winner goes to...? THE PEOPLE WHO WANT TO OFFER UBER SERVICE! GO GO!

Yes this system was specifically made for this purpose. (I edited because I know that Njag made My Events to make leveling services legal). Don't need a kid raging about it being against the rules because I know its not because of this new system.
