My idea that I am presenting is based around 2 concepts.

1) A more safer Trading solution
2) reduced work load for the mod team

I would like to see implemented within the trade topic, a "Trade request" Notifier which for example could be placed next to the Report post, Quote, Top options currently being used .

When a user wants to bin your item he would mearly click on the "Trade request" feature in the sellers post. It will then open up a pm were the buyer would "compose his message" to the seller. Unlike a normal pm, it will have fields where you can provide valid information pertaining to the trade.

Example.

Send to:

1) enter sellers account name

2) enter url link to trade topic

3) enter your d2 account name that u will be using for the trade

The seller will recieve a "trade Request" notification simular to the d2jsp notifier. Once opened the seller would be opted to enter the following information pertaining to the trade.

1) sellers d2 account name that he will be using for the trade

2) game name : password

once finished a return message would be fowarded to buyer.

I believe with this solution it would save alot of time, misrepresentation & a faster resloution for the mod team if any issues were to arrise between both parties.

What do you guys think?

Dave,

We all know that the Mod Team gets minimal credit for the great work they do. I am for anything that can reduce their workload and make JSP a safer place to buy and sell items. You have a great idea with the "Trade Request" feature. I see this as an instant notification to the seller/buyer that a serious offer is available. The key is that the "Trade Request" is sent to the seller/buyer and the necesary information about each entity is provided to complete the trade. This may assist in resolving scammer accusations because you have the initial thread that was posted plus the "Trade Request" from the buyer/seller in your individual JSP account. If necessary, Gold logs can also assist in determining who paid/did not pay (ties into your previous poll about a search feature by account name in our gold logs ~ another great idea btw)

Wishful thinking - This may actually help keep legitimate posts from reaching the 3rd page in 60 seconds.
There will always be those that abuse any option available to them and I have many thoughts on it, but this will provide an immediate record of the proposed trade and could prove to be very useful if implimented correctly. I am in favor of it. Great thoughts Dave!

Nice one Renegad3 b)

Ill vote yes. Makes it so people always have proof if they ever get scammed (as PM's are a part of the process)
