Redirect all known proxy server addresses to a read only version of the d2jsp site.

Downside

1.)Will prevent a few students and employees that are circumventing the rules to gain internet access when they should not be.
Is that really a downside? lol

Upside

1.) This will prevent any multiple account from posting on this site ever again.
2.) They will be reduced to lurking mode where they truly belong.
3.) Scams will drastically be reduced.
4.) The administrative staff (Mods Junior Mods etc etc) will have more time to themselves and real issues to deal with.
5.) Spam will be reduced (could be a downside as well but I believe in quality over quantity)
6.) Do I need to think of more? PM me and I will..

The d2jsp community can rejoice and take comfort in knowing the site works to maintain some semblance of security and prosperity for the people that respect the site and the hard working people on it. Rules can only guarantee so much in this environment, and the ability to circumvent the rules by using public proxy servers is detrimental to the site and the community that respect those rules.

Let me know what you think.
As far as I know, this is a slight modification and has been known to work for other web forums.

no bad idea imo, family members can both use jsp, they just have to follow the rules

and some people can only use campus internet (myself at one time)

Yes alot of upsides but i think they downside to high Sry.

Im aware 5 - 10 More on my school have D2jsp , and are active to ,,, So No Sry.

Nice Suggestion, but to big downside.

I know some of you will be affected, but it is for the greater good, I assure you ;)
I am sure in some cases, you can find a stable proxy and have it cleared from the redirecting list of proxy servers.

That means that you can make arrangements to have your proxy IP, online and the majority of public proxy lists will be banned.
How is that for a compromise?

Most people just switch IPs. They don't use proxies. You of all people should know this as I have a list of your known multis.
